I am a sub contractor who did not have income in 2020 what forms should i use to file joint taxes with my spouse

You still use Form 1040 like always.  You can file a joint return even if one spouse had little or no income.

 

If you received unemployment it must be entered on your tax return.  You will get a 1099G and enter it 

Enter your 1099G for unemployment in Federal>Wages and Income>Unemployment

Go through the screens very carefully to enter any federal/state tax you had withheld from the unemployment

You might need to get your 1099G from the state’s unemployment site when it becomes available in January.  You will need to use the same password etc that you use to certify for weekly benefits
