Question

I am apparently unable to go back in the filing wizard to enter my 2023 Federal filing PIN information. Can someone tell me how I can get this information updated? Thx!

I do not want my Federal return rejected because I was unable to provide this information the first time through the process.

Is it the IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN from IRS) or the E-file ID PIN)

 

If you have a 6-digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file.  Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.

 

You 5 digit e-file pin is entered at the point of e-filing.
