Where are you seeing this error? Can you clarify?

The Federal information carries over to your State Return, so If the error appears to be related to your stocks that you own, go back through the Federal Income section related to Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other and answer all the questions again.

Then go back through the state questions again, paying particular attention to any questions on your investments.

If the Review shows you a detail to fix, you should be able to just correct that one area.
