I am filing Deluxe. To enter my wife's business I am asked to upgrade to self-employed. She has expenses. Can't Deluxe handle them?

No, TurboTax Online Deluxe cannot handle income and expenses for Schedule C.

The higher version of TurboTax Online will allow you to claim your income and expenses related to your self-employment income that is reported on Schedule C. Without being able to include your expenses, your income tax and self-employment tax will be higher. Lower versions of TurboTax will allow you to enter Schedule C income, but not expenses.
