How do I find my 2019 AGI that is entered in my current 2020 tax return?

To revisit the 2019 AGI section in TurboTax Online:

  1. Sign in and open your return, if you haven't already done so.
  2. From the left menu, select File (tap in the upper-left corner to expand the menu on mobile devices).
  3. Select Start next to Step 3 (if needed, revisit Steps 1 and/or 2 to activate Step 3).
  4. Select I want to e-file.
  5. Continue until you see the place to enter your 2019 AGI.

If your tax return contiues to be rejected by the IRS for the 2019 AGI enter a 0 (zero) for the 2019 AGI and e-file again.

The 2019 AGI is found on your 2019 Federal tax return Form 1040 Line 8b

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on View adjusted gross income (AGI)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

If I filed married filing jointly and my wife had no income. Do I put the same amount for us both, or put the amount of my AGI for me and $0 for her?

If you filed the 2019 tax return as Married Filing Jointly then the 2019 AGI is the same for the both of you
