I am getting a Reject code on my federal return and can't find the fix. Presume it has not yet been done in the IRS system. Reject code CA_MCTR_Payment. Stuck on this?

That reject code is referring to the CA Middle Class Tax Refund. There was an issue with filing this form, but it was resolved in a recent update. Please try the following:

TurboTax Online:

1. Log into your account.
2. Select check my return.
3. Select Federal from the left menu.
4. Select Federal Review.
5. Answer the question regarding CA Middle Class Tax Refund.
6. File your return.

TurboTax CD/Download:

1. Open TurboTax
2. Select Open your return
3. Select Federal Taxes from the top navigation menu.
4. Select Federal Review.
5. Answer the question regarding CA Middle Class Tax Refund
6. File your return.
