I am getting ready to file, and it's showing charges even though I'm active military. I'm at the screen where I have to choose whether to pay with return or enter cc.

FAQs say the discount is applied when you file, but I'm afraid to choose to pay $117 with the return or credit card and get charged. When do they show the credit for active military?

Your taxes are free when you file with a military W-2. But if you add extra services like Live, then you will be charged for those extras.

Go back to the My Info section and verify that you entered you are active military.

Click on My Info on the left side of the online program screen.

Assuming you have entered a military W-2, go back and edit the W-2 as you need to select on the screen after completing the W-2 labeled Let's check for uncommon situations check the box Active military duty
