I am married preparing taxes for my husband and I filing jointly. Does this mean that I claim our child under the my info page? She is his dependant.

If you are Married Filing Jointly, she is a dependent for both of you. You can include her on the dependent page. All income, deductions, credits etc, are shared by you. When the question is asked "Whose child is she?", you can check his name. It will not change anything on the return.
