I am not filing jointly with my spouse but we both have different home of records and he is military we now reside in the state of NC, what does that mean for me? Would I need to file for NC

If you are a nonmilitary spouse then you can use your military spouse's resident state when filing your taxes or you can file in the state where you live, NC. If you choose your spouse state all your income earned in NC will be taxable in that state. Please see Military Spouses and State Taxes for additional information.
