Double check the information you have entered in the My Info (TurboTax Online) or Personal Info (CD/downloaded version). 

 

There is a specific question in the area where you enter your name that will ask if you are married.  It sounds like you may have checked the box my mistake.

if you are not married you can only file as single or head of household.   you can't have a spouse if you're not married.
