If you received a form 1099-NEC that is "Non-employee Compensation".  So the issuer considered you self-employed and reported that to the IRS as well.

Here is a link with the IRS definitions.

You will need to report the income as self-employed income under the "Income & Expenses" tab.

The good news is you can also claim expenses to offset some of that income as part of the "Self-employment" topic.

The bad new is you have to pay the social security and medicare taxes on the income; self-employment taxes.
