I am on the first step to enter Box 'd' Control number - I know I am entering the number on my W2 correctly, but it is not accepting it as correct to move forward

TurboTax Live Basic Online

A Control Number (box D) of your W-2 is used by many payroll departments to uniquely identify a W-2 in their system. If your W-2 doesn't have one or if TurboTax is not accepting the number on your form, select Skip import and manually enter your W-2. It is not needed to continue with your return or e-file.
