Should I start a new account and if so how do I transfer all of my info? I was the breadwinner of the family most of our marriage and I was lucky to get out alive. Any info will be appreciated. He is trying to hide money he took from the marital assets & if I can get a refund from my taxes it would help me greatly. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Yes, you are better off creating a new TurboTax Online account, even though you will need to enter your information again. To protect your identity, use a different email address, user name, and password than you did last year.

Follow these steps to create a new login:

  1. Sign out of TurboTax Online.
  2. Select the TurboTax Online product you want to use for the return and continue.
  3. On the Create your account screen, set up a new login for the return. Enter your email address to receive e-file notifications for this return.
After you've created the new account, you can log in to start working on a return.

If you were still married as of December 31, you will need to file Married Filing Separately. You'll see some questions about your spouse, which you may enter with the best information you have. The IRS could contact you to verify this info, but it's unlikely.
