Question

I am trying to start my 2022 return but I am always being prompted to start a 2021 return (which I have already done, with a private preparer last year).

I want to start a 2022 return using Turbo Tax for the first time. How can I get prompted to start a 2022 return and not a 2021 return?

The software for 2022 is not yet available; you are too early.   The CD/download software will become available later in November, and the online software will become available sometime in December.   We do not yet have specific dates.  So---check back in a few weeks.

    Log in next month and suddenly, if you are paying attention, you will notice it is 2022 tax season. 

    People still get confused.
