I and my wife are filing tax return jointly, my wife and my child were living oversea together for more than half year in 2021, in this case:
1). Can I still claim my child as dependent?
2). What should I answer to the question "Did your child live with you for the whole year?" If the term "you" here means "me and my wife", then yes, otherwise it's no.

Since you are filing a joint return, if the child lived with either one of you for the year, then answer YES. If they lived with each for 6 months, then you still answer YES.
