Solved

I applied for Health Insurance in 2023 but my coverage states that I only just started it on 1/1/2024 and a plan is not selected yet. Do I need a 1095-A form?

I have not used any of the benefits yet.

If you did not have coverage through the marketplace in 2023, then you would not have a 1095A and would not include anything on your federal return regarding health insurance.  For this year, you will simply skip that section.

When you file your 2024 federal return, you will then include the 1095-A.

If you did not have health insurance coverage in 2023 you do not need a Form 1095-A for 2023. Just applying for coverage in 2023 does not require a 1095-A if the coverage did not take effect in 2023.
