I babysit my grandchildren n my daughter pays me but i have cost for gas and food n other costs where do i report it where i can put in my cost

You can only claim the expenses if you are claiming the income.  If you are, gas to her house would not be deductible.  Gas or mileage to run the kids around to activities and such would be deductible as business expenses. You can deduct the food and other costs directly related to taking care of the kids. You will need to use TurboTax Self-Employed to enter the income and expenses. You can do this by clicking on:

  • Income and Wages
  • Scroll down to Self-Employment income and click Show More
  • Click Start next to self-employment
  • enter wages received
  • Walk through until you see the option to enter expenses.
  • TurboTax will guide you through the entire process.
