I been trying to file I keep getting rejected I never need a ip pin why now

If the IRS assigned you an IP-PIN, they would also have sent you a letter informing you of that and telling you what you needed to do when you filed your return. 

 

That said, if you believe you have an IP-PIN and need to retrieve it, you can use this web site by the IRS.

 

I would also check the IP-PIN location in TurboTax and make sure the box is blank. If you do not have an IP-PIN and the box is not blank, that will cause errors.

  1. Open your return if you don't already have it open.
  2. Inside TurboTax, search for IP PIN (don't forget the space) and then select the Jump to link in the search results.
  3. On the Identity Protection PIN screen, answer Yes and enter your IP PIN in the space provided.
    • If you need to remove the IP PIN, answer No instead.
  4. Select Continue.
