I bought a physical CD of 2023 TurboTax Premier in December 2023. But I realize I need Home and Business version. I cannot return the CD since it is already out of return window. Can I somehow upgrade to Home & Business version, I am willing to pay to extra, but don't want to buy the whole thing again.

All Tax experts, please help.

All the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions include the same forms, schedules and worksheets.  Upgrading to Home & Business will only give you a little more help and guidance.

You can click on Upgrade TurboTax on the bottom right of the desktop program screen. You will only be charged the difference in price between Premier and Home & Business.

Yes--you can upgrade if you need to.  Every version of the CD/download has all the same forms and schedules, but if there is some extra guidance you need from Home and Business you can upgrade from Premier and pay just the difference between the prices.

Look up at the top of your open TT screen----on the right---see that little bell---then >>

Click >> and it will give you the choice to upgrade.

A word of caution---when the software offers you the option to pay for the upgrade from your federal refund--do not do that or it will also charge you an extra $40 "refund processing fee".  Pay for the upgrade BEFORE you file using a credit or debit card.
