I bought the Deluxe from Costco and need a home and business. Is there a discount, as I have the wrong one?

Every version of the CD/download has all of the forms and schedules. If you need the extra guidance from Home and Business, you can upgrade the software you purchased. Go up to the top of the screen on your opened Deluxe software.

Now---see the >> on the top right? Click there and it will take you to a screen to upgrade and you can upgrade to Home and Business. You will pay the difference between the price you already paid for Deluxe and the price for Home and Business. Pay that amount using a credit or debit card. Do NOT choose to pay for the upgrade by having the money taken out of your federal refund, or you will also be agreeing to an EXTRA fee of $40 ($45 in CA) for "refund processing."

All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions. So start using Deluxe and see if you still want to upgrade. Did you get Deluxe installed and Activated yet?

Or do you need to do a separate Business return? Home & Business is for personal 1040 returns that need Schedule C for self employment or Single Member LLC.

I don't see the >> at the top right that xmasbaby0 described. That might only be on a Mac. In Windows, at the very bottom of the TurboTax window, towards the right, there is a button that says Upgrade TurboTax. Click that button. It's only there when you have a tax return open. Look for one or the other, >> at the top or Upgrade TurboTax at the bottom.

In the 2023 Windows desktop version the upgrade link is under the Help tab at the top left. this can be either with the program open but not the return or with the return open.
