I bought the premier turbotax federal and state, but I cannot open it on my cell. Do I need a computer to file an extention?

Desktop download software can only be used on a full PC or Mac. You cannot use the download on a phone or any sort of mobile device. If you do not have a computer that meets the download system requirements, seek a refund for the download and use the online mobile app instead. You cannot pay for the mobile app with the license code.

Remember that an extension does not give you more time to pay. You need to pay your tax due by April 15. The extension only gives you more time to prepare and file your tax return forms.
