I bought TurboTax in Amazon, entered my code and the message said my account had been credited, but TurboTax still charged my card for the full amount, $160.00, without crediting the $49.99 I already

Sorry, it looks like you used the Online web version instead of the Desktop program installed on your computer.   Online is completely separate from the Desktop program.  You can not apply the Desktop purchase to the Online version.  

 

Did you get the Desktop program installed?  You can move your online return to your program.  You can try asking for a refund for Online but they probably won't give one.
