If you have your own online account but forgot your user ID, refer to the TurboTax Help article What if I forgot my user ID or password?

Are you in the Filing process and referring to the 6-digit email verification code so you can continue to efile? If so, you have to leave the screen open that requests the code while you use a different browser tab, different window, different browser, or your phone to check your email to get the 6-digit code, then go back to that requesting screen you left open to enter it.   If you close the initial screen, the code will be seen as expired or not valid.
