Question

I can't file my NYS taxes I get a message saying I can't submit it yet Turbo tax does not have the form ready due to decoupling from IRC. Why?Federal was submitted

It makes no sense.... I am not doing reporting anything but the basics, nothings changed. It should be clear and simple like last year

My understanding is that NY has joined the ranks of other states that will not accept a return until the IRS has accepted it. The IRS does not open until February 12.

You may also have a form that is not yet updated. As the state updates forms, they are incorporated into the system. Please check Forms Availability for your method of tax preparation.
