If you claimed the child as a dependent on last year’s tax return through TurboTax, the number will be retained. Perhaps you logged into a different account?

This TurboTax account recovery website will provide a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used. Please see here.

You may also be able to find your child's Social Security number by the following methods.

If you have a copy of a prior year tax return that included your child, it will have the child's Social Security number.
Medical/school records may have the Social Security number.
Contact the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 or go online to ask for a Social Security Card replacement card.

If you had your child as a dependent on a previous tax return, you can find their SS number there.

Otherwise, you need to Contact the Social Security Administration at www.ssa.gov.

Social Security numbers are confidential information, so they are not available online, except from some fee-based services that I don't think that I would trust.

Here are some options:

1) Ask the child's father to provide it to you

2) Look at a prior tax return where you reported the child as a dependent.

3) Medical records

4) Insurance paperwork, such as health insurance applications, life insurance papers, etc.

5) School records

6) Government assistance paperwork, if applicable

7) Phone the Social Security Administration and follow their recommendations

You may be able to find your child's SSN from a copy of past year tax returns, school records, medical records, their SSN card. If you do not have any of these records you can get a copy of your tax returns from TurboTax.

Follow these steps to get a copy of your TurboTax return.

Sign in at TurboTax.com.
Go to Tax Home and scroll to down and select Your tax returns & documents. Here, you'll see the years of taxes you've filed with TurboTax. ...
Select 2018 and choose Download/print return (PDF) to get a copy.
