I cannot eliminate a misc-1099 request. I don't have any. The update doesn't update. In review I'm asked for EIN that doesn't exist. I can't move forward.

First try logging out of the program and logging back in, to stop the TurboTax program from asking you update your Form 1099-MISC information.

You can also check to see if there is a 1099-MISC in your tax return, and delete the record. ‌You can do this by doing the following:  

For TurboTax Online

1. Continue your tax return
2. In your left panel of your TurboTax program, select "Tax Tools"
3. Then select "Tools"
4. Under "Other Helpful Links" choose "Delete a form"
5. If there are any Forms 1099-MISC listed, click on "Delete" next to them

For TurboTax Desktop

1. Click on "Forms" at the top right of your screen
2. In your left panel scroll down to Forms 1099-MISC (if there are any)
3. The Form will appear in your right panel
4. Near the bottom left of form, select "Delete"
5. A dialog box will come up asking if you want to delete the form
6. Click on "Yes"
