Question

I cannot file because it says this form is not ready to be filed due to a change in the federal form. should be available soon. (form 8582)

I was told this form is ready, I'm also not positive I need this form.

According to the TurboTax Forms availability FAQ, Form 8582, Passive Activity Loss Limitations is available. Form 8582 is used by noncorporate (individual) taxpayers to:

Figure the amount of any passive activity loss (PAL) for the current tax year.
Report the application of prior year unallowed PALs.

Greetings. I am receiving the same message. "Activity Worksheet: Activity Description - This form is not ready to be filed due to a change in the federal form. It should be available soon."

I can see that for 8582 is available using the forms availability link provided by HelenC12. My turbotax did updates this morning but still getting this message.

Any suggestions?

I have same problem. I've been waiting to file for over a month. Form is supposed to be available, according to TurboTax but when I try and complete, TurboTax says form will be ready soon.
