    @joylontoco ,

    (a) Are you a US person  ( citizen/ GreenCard / Resident for ax purposes ?  If you are not a citizen,then which country are a national/citizen of ?

    (b)  Which country are you currently in ? When did  enter that country ?  Did you use form 2555 last year ?

    (c) Does your family stay with you there or  do they live in USA  ?   Do you plan to file with family / spouse ?

    (d) Which form ( drop down list )  are you having problems with ?

    I am assuming that you are using a  windows  download product and not  the On-Line ( even though the two should be pretty similar but I have no familiarity with the on-line version  nor the Apple product ).

    I will circle back once I hear from you.

    @joylontoco ,

    IRS generally does not send  direct deposit to banks outside of the USA .  You can get check sent to your address on file.

    I could be wrong ( and IRS has moved with the times but ... )-- see this page:

    Get your refund faster: Tell IRS to direct deposit your refund to one, two, or three accounts | Internal Revenue Service

     There is no statement that says  you must use  US banking system but all the examples and refs. are only valid for US banking system.

    Note that  when IRS sends you a check ( US ),  your local bank can cash this through the services of their own corresponding bank.  You can also visit the  nearest US Embassy. consulate -- they often have  banking services  & IRS service ( esp. if there is a large ex-pat population.

    Which country are you talking about\ ?

    Is there more I can do for you ?
