You have to wait until the IRS has fully processed your return. THEN you can use a Form 1040X to amend and make that change. You will need to go to My Info and change the way you answered the question about whether someone else can claim you. You were supposed to say YES.

Did you e-file first? Is your parent's e-file being rejected? If so, your parent is now blocked from e-filing this year and has to file by mail. Even waiting for you to amend will not help them. The only way they can file and claim you is by filing on paper and mailing their tax return. Every attempt to e-file will be rejected.
