Question

I click continue and it says congratulations on finish your taxes click continue to see your documents etc., and then I press continue and it says let’s finish your taxes

I just don’t understand what I’m supposed to do or how I’m supposed to confirm my extension was accepted

You should have received an e-mail confirmation when the extension was accepted, though what you describe is consistent with the extension having been filed (congratulations) and then the program taking you back in (let's finish) to work on completing the entire return.
