Question

I contracted with Lyft (taxi) and Uber at the same time in 2016. If I reported my vehicle and cell phone on Uber, do I also have to claim all the same info with Lyft?

No, you should not duplicate those entries.

If you wanted to report them as separate businesses, you would need to separate all of your expenses between the two companies.

Instead, because the service you provided for both Lyft and Uber was very similar, it would be simpler to report all of your income and expenses from both Lyft and Uber as a single business on one Schedule C.
