Question

I'd like to import my 2014 turbo tax data into my 2016 turbotax ( I didn't use software last year). How can I do this?

I tried to rename the file's extension to 2015 but that didn't work either...any recs?

You cannot import 2014 data into 2016.

nikkkikratzner is absolutely correct.  You cannot import 2014 into 2016.  Only 2015 data can be imported into a 2016 tax return.
