Question

I did DoorDash in 22 and my work summary shows $-7,249. I only made around 1500-3000 that year. This year I made 105$ and it shows 61. Did I mess up last years taxes?

I guess better question, is negative the amount of taxes I owe and positive the deductions? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

It depends.  It's important for you to keep track of all of your income from your DoorDash business or any self employment business, as well as any expenses you have in connection with a business that allows  you to earn the income.

Income on a 1099-NEC (replacing the 1099-MISC for most "gig economy" income) usually goes on Schedule C; you would deduct your business expenses on that form. However, that may require you to use a different edition of TurboTax.

The IRS understands, if you are spending money you are likely making money because you would not continue to spend money when you keep losing money.  Review all of your records, including your bank statements to see if all of your income was accounted for on your tax return last year and of course this year.  The following articles will be helpful.
