I did not get a third stimus check based on the 2020 AGI being greater than the qualifiying AGI. TURBO tax is not using the 2020 AGI and is insisting that I get a rebate on my 2021 taxes. Please help.

The 3rd EIP was issued in a hurry last year. They used 2020 returns to get those checks out. But the 3rd stimulus was really an advance on a credit you can get on your 2021 tax return. If your 2021 AGI is in the eligible amount then you do get it as a recovery rebate credit for 2021. So.. good news.

The third stimulus of $1,400 is based on your 2021 AGI. The IRS used your 2020 AGI for the advance stimulus credit since the 2021 tax return was not available.
