I did not know my employer did not take out my federal taxes. Will I get in trouble for this ?

Did you receive a W-2? Is box 2 blank? The employer withheld no federal tax? Depending on how much you earned, you could have an underpayment penalty. We cannot see your information. What is your filing status? What is in box 1 of the W-2?

Or were you an independent contractor? Did you get a 1099NEC?
