Question

I did not pay estimated tax payments, I clicked yes by mistake. How do I remove it?

If you didn't make any Federal or State estimated tax payments, follow the steps below to change your answer.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to Federal Taxes.
  3. Go to Deductions and Credits. 
  4. Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and click show more.
  5. Select Federal estimated taxes for 2019 (Form 1040ES) Or State estimated taxes for 2019 and answer No to the question If you made any estimated Tax payments.

What if I submitted it already without entering that information?

If your return has already been accepted by the IRS and you did not enter a value in the estimated tax payment field then you are fine.
