Last year I prepared taxes for multiple people and purchased each person a copy of TurboTax Online. Can I input the total cost of TurboTax in the "Tax preparation fee" box?

If you purchased TurboTax for other people, you 'gifted' them the program.
You can't claim the cost on your personal return as a 'tax preparation expense' for other people, only your cost for yourself, if you itemize deductions on Schedule A.
Unless you are reporting a tax prep business on Schedule C, then you could report what you spent on software as a business expense.
