You can file your 2018 and 2019 tax returns in any sequence. The only advantage to filing a 2018 return first is that you can transfer information from it to your 2019 return if you use Deluxe or higher for 2019. You can use the current online product to file a 2019 tax return. It can be efiled or you can print and mail it yourself.

The 2018 return must be printed and mailed. It can't be efiled. You must print and mail it yourself. TurboTax doesn't print and mail it for you.
