Question

I didn't file my taxes by mail but instead filed for extension. Can I now e-file through turbotax after making a slight change?

yes.  since you haven't filed the return, you  can make changes  and efile it.   then make sure you get an e mail from TT that the efile went through and then a second email saying it was accepted. once accepted TT receives no further updates.
