Question

I didn't have to forward my 1099-B form using Turbo Tax service. Is this year different? The IRS gets a copy from TD Ameritrade just like I do.

Last year I didn't have to forward my 1099-B to the IRA. Why do I have to do it this year?

Mailing or attaching a copy to your e-filed return is only required when you report sales transactions as category totals rather than reporting each individual transactions. If you didn't report category totals then you would not have had to mail or submit your Form 1099-B with your tax return.
