Question

I didn't receive unemployment in 2021 but TurboTax thinks I did and is trying to make me upgrade to Deluxe. How do I fix it?

I didn't receive a 1099-G bc I didn't receive unemployment.

Delete the Form 1099-G that was transferred from last year. In the Search box, type "unemployment" (without the quotes). Then click the link that says "Jump to unemployment." That will take you to the unemployment summary screen. On the summary screen, click the Delete button or trash can for the 1099-G that you want to delete.

If you had unemployment last year, it is looking for you to enter a form. Do not upgrade, just ignore it when it asks.
