I do not want to put my husband's information on my taxes because we are separated

If you are legally separated, the program will not ask for your husband's information and you will file "Single" or if you support a child dependent, you might file "Head of Household". 

 

You would need to select "Legally separated" in the Personal Info section. 

 

If you are not legally separated, you can file Married Filing Separately, in which case the spouse's information must be entered.

if your filiing status is married filing separately the only info required for the spouse is name and SSN. if you don't have the SSN you'll have to mail in your return indicating you don't have that ssn.
