If you are mailing the tax return you do not need a 5 digit PIN or the prior year AGI.

However, if you were issued a 6 digit Identity Protection PIN by the IRS then that has to be entered on your mailed tax return.

Enter IP PIN in the box to the right of where you sign the tax return on page 2 of the Form 1040.
