Question

I don’t remember filing last year but I’m not 100% sure. During my state filing it asked me to add my over payment which I agreed too and it took it off my deduction so

Do I say I didn’t file? Will the penalize me ?

If you didn't file a tax return there may be some consequences depending on what your income was.

 

If you filed with TurboTax last year, you will see last years information on this year's tax return.  If your still not sure, you can call toll-free at 1-800-829-1040 or visit a Taxpayer Assistance Center Local IRS Office 

 

You can also request a transcript for 2021.  Get Your Tax Record
