I don't think i'm using the correct turbo tax. i'm employed, but my wife works from home. should i be using the turboTax self employed?

If she works from home running her own business, then yes, you would want to get TurboTax Self-Employed so she can record her business income and expenses, and possibly qualify for the home office deduction.
