I dont have a federal id number but I am self employed. what do i putdown when it asks for a federal id number?

If you are a sole proprietor and didn't incorporate your business, then your SS# is your ID, your name is your business name and your address is your business address.

When going through TurboTax, indicate that you don't have a Federal ID. Your SS# will be automatically applied to your self-employment income and expenses.
