Question

I efiled my federal return and printed my state return only. but i want to efile my state return now also, is that possible?

if you already mailed in the state return, you should not file a second copy by any method. otherwise, you can e-file the state only if the federal was successfully e-filed. go to the file section and switch federal to mail it and state to e-file then proceed through the following steps until you can click on the submit icon. there is a fee for e-filing the state return except in New York.

There are no state efile fees in the Online product. User appears to be using Live Self-Employed Edition. In the Online version, fees are for preparation--no matter whether efiled or printed and mailed; efiling is free. There is a state efile fee in desktop software (CD/download), however, except for New York state.
