Question

I file jointly. My wife’s name is changed with social security and on her license but her W2 is in her maiden name. Will this be an issue filing taxes under married name?

Problem is she never changed her name with her job so I’m just wondering if I will run into issues filing under married name now

The name on the tax return and the name on the W-2 do not have to match. Only the Social Security number must be the same on the W-2 and tax return.
