I filed in turbo tax with 2018 w2 and it keeps saying 2019 I didn't have taxes to file in 2019

If you are using TurboTax online to file your tax return, you are filing a 2019 tax return regardless of the information you entered being 2018 information. Only current year (2019) returns can be electronically filed using TurboTax online.

In order to file a 2018 tax return using TurboTax, you must purchase and download the TurboTax software. Then, the return must be mailed to the IRS for processing.
