I filed a federal extension do I need to file a state extension in California?

When I put 2020 AGI in my efile is rejected. Tried 6 times. Don’t have time to send it by mail. So I need extension

Try entering a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the 2021 tax return again.

California gives you an automatic six month extension to file your return. Deadline is 10/17/22.

Your payment for any taxes still due is by 4/17/22.
